Water Filters are better than Bottled Water!

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6hnTkBJNWTI8sb2wbcHFrxgftD_nIqUULjmq3h6QYI4btpacZtb5vNSABfuzHIcH75gDi3xp7kyYRB9t395QLG3VJF-dMDyQNSGkJT_GyHoUswRTY4TGlA51UOYm2yacJKqJKE__HKb2m/s400/Dasani.jpg

Water is one of the simple elements and nutrients our body has to have. Citizens all over the world have become alarmed about the amount of water they drink and the quality of drinking water. For lots years people have considered drinking water from the taps with a water filter safe, but more and more consumers start drinking bottled water. Companies that produce bottled water promise better water than the water from the drinking water filters. The up swing demand for bottled water causes the increase in the amount of bottled water companies.

Millions of dollars per year is spent on the bottled water. Is the price justified by the quality of water in the bottles? Do we receive actually pure and healthy water?

The Coca-Cola Company was blamed for misleading the people. Coca-Cola brands, Dasani, has to face charges. Dasani advertised a pure spring water product. Coca-Cola Company has now hard time proving that Dasani bottles are filled with spring water and not with unfiltered tap water.

Several tests of bottled water have been conducted. The results were alarming. Every third bottle is filled with unfiltered tap water. Bottles that are marked as “pure spring water” are filled with water from a public water source. In recent cases water is taken from springs are near a waste dumping site. Even if this water comes from the tap water with filters people were promised to get real pure spring water. To get the same result you can put in your own water filter system at home and get water of better quality at much cheaper price.

You pay money and expect to get tastier water of a high quality. Instead you have un-purified water.

Are you sure bottled water is worth the money? Can you count on its quality?

What comes up even more is the results of the blind taste test. The New York City people were asked to taste different kinds of water. The participants didn’t know where the water was from. What happened? A Whopping 75% of people who were tested said that tap water from a water filter systems was tastier than bottled water.

You can not rely on the test taste results completely as tastes different and great taste does not necessary means great quality. These tests show that bottled water  has no advantages over tap water. Drinking water that has come through a water filtered process proves to be better and more reliable than bottled water.

Pole dancing is for fitness not sex!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/wiltshire/content/images/2004/11/01/pole_dancing_1_300x400.jpg

Pole dance studios and instruction across the country varies considerably. We can trace the influences of pole dancing to ancient styles of belly dance and other forms pole dancing as a workout for women. Women who runs these studios are operated by former performers, to others affiliated with either the dance and fitness industries.

The most important part to the safe practice of pole dancing is a safe environment and the teacher’s know how and application of body and proper bio-mechanics especially “lifting” motions at the pole. Students should be aware of secure pole installation standards. If the poles are not securely tighten down to the floor the ceiling clamps may slip, especially with lots of use by many students.

Commercial use of permanent poles are so much safer than the tension-loaded or “removable” ones. Students should ask about the type of poles a studio uses, since not only does installation vary, which affects safety, but so does learning on a “turning” or stationary/”non-turning” pole. Stationary poles are safer for at least beginning through intermediate students. Most women at studios enjoy and seek the “workout” part of pole dancing, which the turning poles takes away. The turning poles are usually used for advanced-level acts of aerial moves, since the body can reposition as long as it remains in constant movement. This is usually not women's care of starting out in practicing, on the other hand, some students tend to become dizzy on stationary poles, this is why the question of whether turning poles are necessary until advanced practicing.

Students should inquire about an instructor’s training and credentials in fitness and dance. Within the fitness and dance industries, a particular instructor’s know how and training varies. Far past the degrees and certificates, it is important that an instructor know and teach the muscle parts of movements. For instance, the shoulder is a round ball-and socket joint, we should never try to lift or hold our own body weight with the shoulder, instead the bigger stabilizing muscles of the latissimus-dorsi (back) should be noticed and conditioned properly before any lifts or spinning at the pole are done.

Injuries can occur with the “excessive kicking to get into the many upside-down moves at the pole. Moves at the pole should start with the top musculature transverse abdominals and muscles of the pelvic ground engage to fold the legs. Added to anatomy and anatomy of movement, or bio-mechanics,  instructors believes that know how in the areas of the physics of dance help break-down parts in the movement for students. The applications of which are also critical in terms of showing modifications of a student’s physique, flexibility challenges, plus weak areas. To stop injuries that came from unsafe practice, it is critical to learn and take pole dancing from a instructor with lots of knowledge and skills. Moves at the pole should be “guarded” by an teacher who can properly intervene descents. Good safe practice of any new moves must have help, especially given the important of potential injuries to the head, neck, and spine in bad positions at the pole.

It is important to look for the interaction of teacher with students and students with other students. Usually, dance classes are known for their competition. Pole dancing consist of soft movements that may be initially hard to practice, it is must to not only have the support of an knowledge, patient teacher and understanding among other classmates. A class that feels good and “psychologically safe,” is preferred for anyone who wants know how and experience learning to pole dance. Learning any kind of moves involves risks which can be scary to make in a place where one may feel uncomfortable. Remember to properly hydrate yourself after each work out!

Drinking Water Can Slow Down Child Obesity!

http://cdn.wn.com/ph/img/85/e4/c21d238d0fdebd4f00158d5a7271-grande.jpg
It's not just adults who are faced with an out break of obesity. Children are becoming overweight at a fast rate. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) statistics tell the chilling story of obesity among children between the ages of 6 to 11 has more than doubled in the last 20 years.

A study just published in the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine concludes there's a simple and effective solution to take away the excess eating of calories causing childhood overweight, obesity, and contributing to cavities and other health problems. The answer isn't a new drug-it is simply drinking more water not sugar sweetened drinks.

This was the conclusion of the researchers from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and the Harvard School of Public Health who authored the study. The Universities analyzed what children and young adults reported they ate and drank over two different days, also using nationally representative data from the 2003-2004 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Then the Universities estimated what substituting water for sweetened drinks would mean to the total energy intake of young adults and children between the ages two to 19. The answer? Drinking water not sugary drinks could eliminate an average of 235 excess calories per day among children and young adults.

The proof is now clear as day! Replacing these 'liquid calories' with calorie-free drinks alternatives both at home and in schools represents a important strategy to get rid of excess calories and stop childhood obesity. Y. Claire Wang, MD, ScD, assistant professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health talk about this topic in a statement to the press.

Dr. Wang explained in his statement by making sure children and young adults are more active is important. Dr. Wang also explained. simply eliminating the extra calories they don't need from these sugary beverages can tip the energy scale in a big way. For example, a typical 16-year-old girl would have to jog for 30 minutes in order to burn off the calories found in just one 12 oz can of cola.

Around 90% of U.S. children and young adults currently drink sugar sweetened beverages every day. These beverages include soda, fruit drinks, punches, sports drinks and sweetened tea. The calories these beverages have can add up to a big 10% or more of the youngsters' total daily consumption. On the flip side, there is no evidence that when youngsters eliminate or beverages few sugar sweetened drinks that they will increase their consumption of other foods and drinks to compensate, the scientists mention in their press statement. That means that every can of soda or sweetened fruit drink that is replaced by water translates into a large loss in daily calorie consumption.

Reversing the up swing in childhood obesity requires finding solutions like this to close the gap between every day energy consumption and daily energy expenditure. Changes such as this one can potentially add up to important benefits for the population as a whole.
